If only Pitt and Miami are the leftover game that really isn't a rivalry, then it's progress. Pitt spoiled Miami a couple of years ago from having an undefeated regular season in the last game. That could become a rivalry.

If we brought in WVU, Pitt would have one. ND wants to play its rivalry weekend game in California. It was Stanford yesterday, and every other year it's USC. Miami wouldn't want to play Thanksgiving in South Bend any more than USC does. Miami needs to get something going with FIU for rivalry weekend perhaps.

But if Miami would agree to visit South Bend in late November, then maybe that would work. This is assuming ND joins down the road. It can't be an every year thing in current configuration.
